Trade recording and your data

PowerFib can share your completed trades with us, to make PowerFib better and to let us add and update features as markets change. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off, or delete everything already sent, at any time.
When anything is sent
Nothing is sent until you choose Share my trades in the dialog PowerFib shows once after installing, or tick Record my trades in Control Center > PowerFib > Recording. The drawing tool and the strategy work exactly the same either way.
Recording is only for paying customers. You can say yes during a trial, but nothing is kept or sent until you buy - your trades are not even held on your own machine to send later. Once your purchase is on file, recording starts by itself.
What we collect
- The trade
- Entry and exit prices and times, quantity, profit or loss, the furthest the trade went for and against you, and whether it was live, sim, or Market Replay.
- The fib it was taken from
- Which level set you used, the anchors, which level filled, and the stop and target settings in force at entry.
- The strategy settings
- Every setting that produced the trade, so it can be reproduced and studied.
- The chart
- Which contract, the bar type and interval, and the trading hours template.
- The installation
- PowerFib and NinjaTrader versions, your operating system version, and your configured time zone, so recording problems can be diagnosed.
- Your NinjaTrader user id and name
- Used only to tell your own installations apart if you run more than one.
- An enrollment code
- A one-way hash (SHA-256) of your NinjaTrader account email, which is how your installation is matched to your purchase. You type the email in once when you turn sharing on, and it is kept only on your computer. Your email address itself is never sent from NinjaTrader and never stored with your trades.
What we never collect
- Passwords, API keys, or broker credentials of any kind
- Account names or account numbers, or your balance
- Payment details - Stripe handles payment and we never see a card
- Anything from charts, strategies, or trades while recording is off
- Anything at all from the drawing tool, which sends nothing anywhere
Where it is kept, and for how long
On a server PowerFib runs in the United States, reached only over HTTPS. The database is backed up nightly and backups are kept for 30 days.
Your trades are kept until you delete them, or until your installation has gone 24 months without sending a completed trade, when they are removed automatically. The service's own delivery logs are kept for 90 days.
Your controls
- Turn recording on or off at any time in Control Center > PowerFib > Recording.
- Delete my data, on the same tab, permanently deletes every trade recorded for your installation, and our logs for it, in one step, and turns recording off. It cannot be undone.

Who it is shared with
No one. Recorded trades are not sold or shared. If that ever changes, this page changes first, and what you agreed to covers only what it said when you agreed.
If you are outside the US
Recording is open to everyone, including the EU and UK. It rests on your consent: you choose to share, and you can withdraw and delete at any time. Opting in is also your consent to your data being processed and stored in the United States. You have the right to access, receive a copy of, and delete your data, as described above. Nothing in GDPR's special categories (health, biometric, political, religious, and so on) is ever collected. PowerFib is a small business with no EU or UK office, so there is no appointed EU or UK representative at this stage.
Connecting Discord
If you choose Connect Discord on your account page, Discord tells us your Discord user ID and display name, and we keep those two things so we can give your account the Licence Holder role on the PowerFib Discord server while you have an active licence, and take it away when you don't. We ask Discord only to identify you and to add you to the PowerFib server; we cannot see your email, your other servers or your messages. Press Disconnect on the same page at any time: the role is removed and both are deleted.
